Although I still believe that link building is still one of the best ways to get found in the big universe of search engines, there’s one way it can backfire - overdoing link building.

The simple checklist below will let you know if the affiliate program does indeed pay as promised.

Reputation – Contact the Better Business Bureau to know if there had been any complaints lodged against the affiliate program you’re interested in joining. Browse the Internet as well for websites that monitor performances of affiliate programs such as the Associate Programs website. Try contacting any affiliate you know who belongs to the specified program and hear firsthand how the program fares. Of course, you should always take what everyone says with a grain of salt unless complete proof is provided.

Paying Methods – It’s safer for you think badly of an affiliate program if it insists on using only one – and lesser known at that – payment processing method. The Internet is a big dangerous place, and it’s definitely foolish for them to expect everyone to be automatically amenable to their choice of payment processor. New Bling for AdSense Earners

If you’re tired of your plain AdSense ad borders and would like some new style, say, a Web 2.0 look for your AdSense ads, you’ll be happy that the Google AdSense team has just added a new look on ad formats - rounded corner goodness!

And guess what? There’s even a varying degree of roundness if you don’t want too round corners: square, slightly rounded, or very rounded corners.

Now if you’re like me who doesn’t care about borders because I believe that the more invisible (is there even a degree for that adjective?!) the border the higher the click through rate (CTR), you won’t find this too useful. But if you also have the heart of a scientific-minded AdSense user, you will know the value of experimenting with your ads. And, these ads with rounded corners can just be good addition to your variables during ad experimentations.

Just thought I’d point you to this thoughtful blog - The Journal. It’s Jenn Bennett’s, who’s an administrative assistant and a freelance writer, blog that has lots of informative posts on legitimate online or work-at-home administrative jobs and some that are actually just foul-smelling scams.

Many of the home based job scams she shares, I suppose, she unearthed from Craigslist - such as this. You can check it out if you’d like some admin assistant updates or if you’d like to take a peek of someone doing this job.
