verisign domain name price increase Why would you want to consider getting your domain names registered for more years?

Verisign, the company tasked to take care of the .com and .net top level domain names has announced the increase of the registry fee of these domain names by October 15, 2007.

By how much with the domain name registration fees increase?

.com domains - from $6.00 to $6.42

The increase is said to be due to the upgrade of the DNS (Domain Name Systems) and to install infrastructure that would help prevent cyberattacks. Read Verisign’s press release.
