If you are trying to see the traffic flow of a website or if you are planning to make money online via monetizing a blog , the Alexa traffic ranking feature is one online tool that may interest you.
Wondering what is traffic rank all about?
The traffic rank is based on three months of aggregated historical traffic data from millions of Alexa Toolbar users and is a combined measure of page views and users (reach). As a first step, Alexa computes the reach and number of page views for all sites on the Web on a daily basis. The main Alexa traffic rank is based on the geometric mean of these two quantities averaged over time (so that the rank of a site reflects both the number of users who visit that site as well as the number of pages on the site viewed by those users). The three-month change is determined by comparing the site’s current rank with its rank from three months ago. For example, on July 1, the three-month change would show the difference between the rank based on traffic during the first quarter of the year and the rank based on traffic during the second quarter. via

Making people to buy you a beer online is now also on blogs. I said also because I thought this only applies to the Warrior Forum that I used to frequent. You know if you’d like to buy a certain e-book or any product from one of the warrior forum members, one of the payment methods is via buying that member a beer via Paypal, too if I remember it right.

May 15th, 2007 — blog monetization, make money online selling
Monetizing a blog, especially, if it’s powered by Wordpress, is getting less stressing each day. This is because the number of plugins or applications that make Wordpress users earn more from their blogs are mushrooming like it’s rainy season. (Fungus = moist? Hope you get it. :-D)
Aside from the WPBankRoll plugin, another downloadable app that you can use to sell from your blog is WP Text Ads.
WP Text Ads allows blog owners to sell text link space directly, which is said to be a lot more profitable since it will rid you of having to say thank you to a middleman who gets a big chunk off your payout as a commission.
With WP Text Ads, publishers can sell text link inventory with the following forms:
- Individual post (like Text Link Ads’ Post Level Ads)
- Home page
- All pages
One can purchase a license for $127 or use it for a limited time for free. However, it might not be too easy to find some advertisers to sell links to. This is the biggest setback that one should deal with especially if one’s blog is not that much popular.
But if there are some takers, please do inform us how useful this Wordpress plugin can be.
If you have some questions about WPTextAds, here’s its FAQ.

I’m sure you’ve heard of Pay-Per-Post, a service that has recently acquired some of the products of Performancing. Ok, that’s not the big deal about Pay-Per-Post, it is its disclosure policy that got it the tomatoes.
But this is not about Pay-Per-Post, this is the new service rolled out by ReviewMe that mimics Pay-Per-Post. It now has the ReviewMe Marketplace which has added the option for advertisers to set review campaigns. These are review offers that let smaller blogs take a pick on the advertisers’ that they’d like to write a review for.
The only setback of this service is that although there are some $12.50, too many of the review offers are only priced at $5 which is not attracting too many bloggers. If ReviewMe would only a limit of at least $10 per review policy as John Chow has suggested, this new money-making service can be a hit.
I submitted one blog that did not make the cut for the premium review offers since it has lower traffic and it got in. However, I noticed that there are no review offers posted these past few days. So I’m wondering what gives, since I believe the categories that most of my blogs that got approved are some of the most in-demand.
More about this new ReviewMe service via the ReviewMe blog.

This is an entry to the Problogger Group Writing Project.
1. Blogging can bring in profits to your business if it’s done properly. A blog is no longer just an online diary. It is now a very potent marketing tool that more and more business people even pay to learn it or to make people do blogging for their business, i.e., corporate bloggers. Book authors also find blogging a great way to get some exposure.

If your blog is not as big as Darren Rowse’s , the making money online guru, and you can’t afford to include a job board on your blog yet just like the Problogger Job Board, you have another option. Use a job board service that will make you earn just by including a widget that will display relevant job openings on your blog such as JobCoin and Jobamatic.
JobCoin is a middleman service to employers and bloggers or publishers who would want to monetize their sites via paid job listing. All it takes is for a publisher to sign up and install the widget onto a blog or site to start making money when employers post a job listing. The payout is via PayPal and JobCoin gets the 30% of the job listing fee that the publisher has set. So, yes, the publisher gets 70% of payment, which is not so bad, right? Continue reading →

Another pay per blog post service namely Bloggerwave has been introduced to the online community. Bloggerwave, from IQ Division Company, provides another venue for bloggers to make money online and for advertisers to have more options on getting their products and services be advertised at a grassroot level.
To get started, sign up for a Bloggerwave account and provide a valid tax ID if you are a US citizen. After signing up just wait for the 48-72 hours blog approval process. When the blog gets approved, one can start taking up opportunities to post sponsored blog posts, which are more preferably related to the blog’s theme. This means don’t take up opportunities from advertisers with products or services that don’t have anything to do with the topic of your blog, which is a good sign that this get paid to blog service cares about both the advertisers and bloggers. Why? Sponsored posts that are posted on blogs not related to the product will not earn much attention from the readers of that blog. Consequently, if those irrelevant sponsored posts kept on being posted, the readership of that blog might decrease.
Same as many *ReviewMe, *Text Link Ads, and other online ad networks, you can benefit more from this service as a publisher if your blog receives good traffic and is ranked well.

DoshDosh, one of the make money online blogs that I frequent, have shared information about a new Wordpress plugin (an application that can be installed to any Wordpress-powered blog) that tells PayPerPost, ReviewMe, Blogsvertise and other pay per review services to move over - Wordpress Bankroll Plugin.
It claims to be better than signing up for pay per review services that serve as middlemen since with Wordpress Bankroll Plugin, you can get paid in full for each review you write or you are asked to post on your blog.
Read more about how this Wordpress plugin can help you monetize your blog - Wordpress Bankroll Plugin.
